It is a pleasure to inform you that the Eighth Convocation of the Institute will be held on October 20, 2021. I welcome you on this occasion to attend the Convocation organising in Virtual/Hybrid mode.


Please note that admission to the Convocation will be subject to clearing all your outstanding dues, if any, and submission of the completed “No Dues Certificate” to the Office of Academic Affairs.

No Dues Form for Graduating Students

BROAD GUIDELINES FOR CONDUCTING THE CONVOCATION IN ONLINE MODE

  1. Physical presence of students for attending the convocation is not considered feasible in the current situation. Therefore, it was agreed that the students including graduands can take part in the Convocation by being online as the convocation ceremony will be live streamed.
  2. The stage and dais may be decorated as usual. On the stage only officials who have an active role in the Convocation proceedings may be seated e.g. HoDs, DoAA, Director, and Registrar to maintain social distancing. Other Senate or BoG members can sit in the front rows of the auditorium.
  3. The speeches/announcements to be made by the Chief Guest and Chairperson, BoG will be telecasted online through video conferencing.
  4. Academic office may arrange formal photographs of the graduands which can be displayed on the projector screen along with their names and degree certificates, when their names are announced for receiving the degree one by one. The whole event will be streamed live on the web.
  5. The Record of the Degrees signed by the Chairperson, BoG shall be presented during the ceremony. Suitable changes in the speeches and procedure may be made to synchronize with the proceedings of online convocation ceremony.
  6. The presence of the audience in the auditorium may be kept at a minimum level while ensuring social distancing is maintained properly.
